Man City to check on this quartet for Man Utd derby…

Manchester City will monitor the fitness of a quartet of players ahead of the weekend's derby clash wth Manchester United.

City meet their neighbours at Old Trafford on Saturday in the fourth week of 2016/17 Premier League action with the clubs sitting 1st and 3rd n the table respectively.

Pep Guardiola could have some key players and new additions available for the match but must check on the fitness of the foursome before making an assessment.

Captain Vincent Kompany has given himself some sort of chance of making the Manchester derby following a serious thigh injury while right-back Bacary Sagna could come into calculations following a hamstring injury.

Summer signings Leroy Sane (hamstring) and Ilkay Gundogan (knee) will also be considered but are unlikely to debut in a match of such magnitude having only linked up with the squad in the past few weeks.

Star striker Sergio Aguero will miss after copping a three-match suspension for elbowing West Ham United's Winston Reid in City's most recent league fixture.
