Man City: Timescale for De Bruyne return from injury revealed

Manchester City striker Kevin De Bruyne could be out for as much as six weeks with ankle and knee injuries, according to his agent.

The players representative Patrick de Koster told Sky Sports News HQ that De Bruyne is sad after scans revealed the extent of the injury.

"I spoke with him earlier and he's a little bit sad because he's got a tear in the ankle and in the lateral in his knee ligaments," De Koster said.

"For sure he will need six weeks rehabilitation. But he is going to do more medicals today. I think on Friday morning will have more news for when he can play again.

"He wants to play football and he will miss important games - the final and Champions League games. It's something that can arrive in football and the only thing to do is work hard and come back."
