Manchester City are moving for top Uruguay defender Sebastian Coates.
Currently tied to Nacional in his homeland, Coates is in advanced talks with Sao Paulo about a lucrative move to Brazil.
However, it's emerged City boss Roberto Mancini is making a late bid to hijack the deal.
Mancini has good information on Coates, having followed his progress while in charge of Inter Milan and wants to bring him to Etihad stadium this summer.
The 20 year-old would arrive as a replacement for want-away defender Jerome Boateng.
