Manchester City hope to delay the sale of Stevan Jovetic until the end of the month.

The Sunday Express says Juventus want to sign Jovetic from Manchester City, who would like to delay the deal until the end of January.

City are moving in on £30million-rated Swansea hitman Wilfried Bony, but the Ivory Coast star is unavailable until next month because of the African Nations Cup and so manager Manuel Pellegrini is in no hurry to lose Jovetic and reduce his options up front.

Selling Montenegro star Jovetic, a £22m buy from Fiorentina, would help City balance the books after their Financial Fair Play fine.
