Manchester City's academy setup is continuing it's innovations.

City's youth system is one of the most successful in Europe. Micah Richards, Michael Johnson, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Steven Ireland and Joey Barton all emerged from Jim Cassell's Academy at Eastlands, and City have now appointed a liaison officer to help tap into Manchester's growing Somali community in an effort to corner that particular market of youthful talent.
