Lazio left-back Aleksandar Kolarov who is a target of Manchester City, is also attracting interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The 24-year old Serbia international has been heavily linked with a move to Eastlands in recent times but Real have now stepped in according to reports.

Interest in Chelsea's Ashley Cole has cooled after the English champions demanded a high transfer fee so Real are now targeting Kolarov and hope to snare from under the noses of City.
