Man City to take on South African sides in Pretoria, Durban

Manchester City have confirmed a July friendly with South African club Supersport United as part of the Nelson Mandela Football Invitational.

The Eastlands outfit will meet the ABSA Premiership side in Pretoria on July 14 which will be incoming manager Manuel Pellegrini's first game in charge.

As well as the Pretoria fixture, City have also scheduled a meeting with AmaZulu FC in Durban four days later as part of their two-match tour.

"As well as competing in two games we have chosen Durban as our base for our training camp," said chief executive Ferran Soriano.

"It is an exciting time for the club as Manuel Pellegrini takes charge of the team for the first time."

After the South Africa visit, City will head to Hong Kong where they will compete in the Premier League Asia Trophy with Sunderland and Tottenham.
