Manchester City have made a new swap offer to Napoli for striker Edinson Cavani. City have baulked at meeting Cavani's €63 million buyout clause and Sportmediaset says a new bid has been tabled over the weekend.
City are offering €40 million cash plus Edin Dzeko in exchange for the Uruguay international. They've also informed Napoli they're prepared to pay €55 million in a straight cash deal.
Cavani favours a move to Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants so far have shown a reluctance to match City in a bidding war.
