The Times in England reports that Manchester City are interested in making Julian Weigl their big signing of the summer.
Pep Guardiola is in search for another central midfielder to add to his squad, given the inevitable departure of City legend Yaya Toure.
With Toure set to move on, it would leave a gap in that part of the squad. City were rumored to be after Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, but have switched their attentions per The Times.
Weigl would cost a good sum, but Borussia Dortmund are known as a selling club, and a high enough offer would see him move to England in the summer.
He would join his former Dortmund teammate Ilkay Gundogan at the club.
