Manchester City face a bill of £55 million if they can't find buyers for seven of their high-priced players.
The People says the group - which cost over £70m - is headed by Craig Bellamy. If the fiery Welshman cannot be found a new home he will cost Blues £4.5m over the next 12 months.
Emmanuel Adebayor is another expensive misfit who wants out but is trapped by his £6m-a-year wages.
Wayne Bridge is back from a loan spell at West Ham and still has two years left on his £90,000-a-week deal. City's third-choice left-back will cost the club around £9m if he stays.
Nedum Onuoha, who earns £35,000 a week and has a deal until 2014, is being offered to Premier League clubs for £3m.
Shay Given is an easier case, but City may have to give the keeper money from a £2m switch to Aston Villa to ease the pain of seeing his £90,000-a-week wages slashed.
Roque Santa Cruz is on the same money for the next two seasons and could be shunted off to the Middle East, while City also want to wave goodbye to Shaun Wright-Phillips - on £60,000 a week.
