Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is edging closer to a move to Inter Milan.

The Sun says his representative is due in Italy today to begin talks over a £40million switch to Inter Milan.

Manchester City have given Tevez the green light to go after landing £38m hotshot Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid.

Kia Joorabchian, Tevez's representative, will be in Milan to make sure there are no hiccups this time after a move to Brazilian outfit Corinthians collapsed when both clubs could not agree a fee.

That was when Inter stepped in, with technical director Marco Branca admitting he met Tevez, 27, recently on a beach in Sardinia.

Branca said: "There was one meeting and it was casual and nice, it happened on a beach."
