Jo, 21, says it may be hard to make an instant impact in the English top-flight but is determined to settle in quickly and start racking up the goals for his new club.

"I know it's not easy to play in England, but I can score a lot of goals," Jo told the New Paper.

The Brazilian cites last season's example of Fernando Torres, who scored 32 goals for Liverpool, as something to aspire to in his own debut campaign.

He said of Torres: "I can't say that I'm better than him, but my job is the same as his - to score lots of goals."
