Man City striker Guidetti hoping for Celtic appeal success: Fans were fantastic

Manchester City striker John Guidetti is sweating this week on an appeal from Celtic over his failed transfer.

The Swede was denied a loan move to Parkhead over late paperwork on Monday night, but Celtic and the Scottish FA are appealing the ruling.

"I hope it will be fine, otherwise I'll stay at Manchester City and that is not wrong," said Guidetti.

"It is now up to UEFA, we'll see what happens. I at least felt good at Celtic. This was the only club that was seriously interested. I spoke with Henrik Larsson and learned how great this club is."

Guidetti admits he felt immediately welcomed by the Hoops fans on Monday.

He told Sport Bladet: "Yesterday was one big chaos. My throat was dry all day. It was just waiting, waiting, waiting. Hundreds of fans stood outside the stadium and waited until midnight.

"The fans are great and it was fantastic to be there. Of course I was disappointed, but this is just what happened."
