Manchester City attacker Kelvin Etuhu has revealed he chose Cardiff City ahead of Wolves on advice from Craig Bellamy.
The youngster says he was heading to Wolves until Eastlands team-mate Bellamy intervened at the 11th hour.
Etuhu said: "I'm close friends with Craig and I listen to everything he's got to stay. He's a passionate Cardiff boy who was always going on about how great the place is and how the club is on the rise.
"I had a few clubs who wanted me and I had the option of joining Wolves, but Craig advised me to come here. He was a big part of my decision. I look up to him.
"The advice he gave me was strong, saying it was the right place to come, play and learn. He's been proved right."
