Man City striker Dzeko to make Bosnian football history

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is aiming to make Bosnian football history this weekend.

The City striker will beat fellow countryman Asmir Begovic of Stoke City by 24 hours if both men play in their respective FA Cup semi-finals this weekend.

"First of all I have to make sure I get to play some part in the game," Dzeko told City's website. "If I do, obviously I will be very proud to represent my country in such a high-profile game.

"If I do play, I will text Amir and wish him well in his game against Bolton because it would be even better if there were two Bosnian players were in an FA Cup final.

"I'm sure the people back home would love that - and so would I."
