Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari has priced himself out of a move to Hull City.

The Daily Mail says the 31-year-old Zimbabwe international has fallen well down the pecking order at City following the arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez and Roque Santa Cruz this summer.

And Hull boss Phil Brown had offered the former Portsmouth striker a route out of Eastlands with the Tigers.

The forward has held talks with Brown over a potential switch.

But the transfer has broken down over Benjani's failure to agree a package with the KC Stadium side.
