FIGC president Giancarlo Abete says AS Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli will return to the Italy squad.
Both players were axed this week for on-field indiscipline.
"We need consistent behaviour from those who represent Italy at international level and that led to the refusal to call some players," commented Abete.
"However, it is not to be seen as a negative thing. De Rossi and Balotelli are two great champions of Italian football and will return to being key figures in the Nazionale."
