A back injury has threatened to keep Mario Balotelli out of Italy's Euro2012 qualifier against Serbia in Beograd.
The Manchester City striker missed Italy's training session this morning after sustaining the injury on Tuesday and has gone to hospital to assess the extent of the problem.
The likely absence of Balotelli will come as a big blow to the Italians, who cannot lose top spot in Group C, as Inter Milan's Giampaolo Pazzini and Villarreal's Giuseppe Rossi are also both in doubt.
