Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has turned down a move to Zenit St Petersburg.
Adebayor is happy to return for pre-season with Manchester City next month - after snubbing a move to Zenit St Petersburg.
Adebayor, 27, said: "If I have to go to Man City, I will do that with pleasure and if I have to stay in Madrid, I will stay with pleasure. What is important is I want to play.
"But I want to make it clear there is no chance of me going to Zenit.
"I love the country but I don't think I can see myself playing in Russia.
"I don't have anything to prove to anybody in football.
"I have done a lot of things in the sport.
"I have scored important goals and played in big games so for me, in my head, I don't have any pressure at all."
