Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone remains a target for Manchester City according to reports.
The Daily Mirror suggests that Simeone may this week sign a new deal to remain at the Vicente Calderon until the summer of 2020 but it won't stop City potentially making a move for him at the end of the season.
The report further indicates that Simeone's Atleti contract will have a get-out clause if another club comes in for his services with a substantial offer.
Reports continue to circulate regarding Manuel Pellegrini's possible exit from the Etihad Stadium this summer and Simeone remains as the number one target for the reigning Premier League champions.
