Man City still have say on Geronimo Rulli future

Manchester City can still have a say on the future of Real Sociedad goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli.

The Mirror says City could prevent Napoli from signing Rulli from Real Sociedad.

City hold a buyback clause for the Argentinian goalkeeper and was sounded out for a possible return to the Etihad to become Ederson's No.2 earlier this summer.

Napoli want Rulli, 25, and are prepared to offer a two-year loan deal with the option to buy from Sociedad come the end of the deal.

But talks will have to go through City, with Pep Guardiola keen to keep Rulli as an affordable option going forward.

“Whatever is meant to happen will happen, it's not up to me," Rulli told Gazzetta dello Sport. “If the parties find a deal then they will, but I'm calm here.

“I'm not anxious, I'm not worried, nor have I put any pressure on to leave. It doesn't depend on me."
