Man City still cannot believe UEFA fine

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says the club cannot believe they have been fined over £20,000 by UEFA.

City copped the £24,470 sanction from Europe's governing body for being less than a minute late onto the pitch after half-time of their Europa League match against Sporting Lisbon in March and the club are dismayed as the fee is more than FC Porto had to pay (£16,700) for being found guilty of racially abusing Mario Balotelli the previous month.

"I do not agree with this - I don't remember this," Mancini said. "How many minutes did we lose? One?

"UEFA are like all the countries - all the countries need some money in this moment.

"Italy needs some money, England needs some money, Germany needs money. It is difficult for everyone and UEFA are the same probably!"
