Man City steamroll Swansea courtesy of David Silva

Manchester City continued their utter domination of the Premier League season as extended their unbeaten run to 15 after defeating Swansea 4-0 on Wednesday night.

David Silva back-heeled the Citizens in front after 27 minutes before Kevin De Bruyne doubled the advantage seven minutes later.

The Belgian whipped in a tempting free-kick that evaded everyone, including Swans shot-stopper Lukasz Fabianski.

Despite their two-goal buffer, Pep Guardiola's side continued their intensity after the half-time interval.

Following a neat one-two with Raheem Sterling, Silva scored his second of the night on the 52nd minute mark.

Sergio Aguero then rounded off the win with five minutes to spare.

Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: "Considering we have a lot of games in our legs, a demanding game at Old Trafford three days ago, we were solid, we were serious and we made a good performance.

"You suffer and enjoy, like a manager you see many things. When the team play good we are happy. Our feeling - we understand what we want to do.

"We play good inside, outside. I'm so happy for David (Silva), we cannot disguise his quality but in the past he didn't score too much goals. He's sharp, he's in an amazing condition."

Asked if complanceny could kick in, Guardiola added: "That is not going to happen. We are so demanding for our players.

"We can lose, we can drop points but complacency, never happened in the past, the present or the future. Winning 15 games in a row gives us a lot of confidence. If people are happy watching us that is the best gift."
