Martin Demichelis is of the belief that Manchester City are starting to move up a gear under Manuel Pellegrini.
After an indifferent beginning to the season, City have hit form with three wins in a row in all competitions which has yielded 14 goals and seen them concede just two.
Add to that their three victories in their past four Premier League outings and 28 goals from 10 domestic matches and Argentine defender Demichelis feels the squad is in a good place.
"We have to make sure the team remains on the path we are on and keeps improving," he told Radio Cooperativa.
"He can find a way to win, he has a way of making sure his teams play in the way he wants, that we play effective football and that we can challenge for important things.
"We are in a good place now and we will have to see what happens afterwards."
