Manchester City starlet Danny Sturridge says he's been inspired by Pele's autobiography.

A huge fan of Pele, Sturridge has been devouring the great man's autobiography and is now encouraging people to pick up the tome as part of the Premier League's highly commendable "Reading Stars'' literacy campaign.

"No autobiography can be more inspiring to a young footballer than Pele's,'' said Sturridge. "We have a lot of time to kill travelling to away games and reading a story such as his is a great way to pass the time.''
