Manchester City's Nedum Onouha has defended the young players around the league after comments from Chelsea's Frank Lampard saying they were basically spoiled.
Lampard said that young players were given too much too soon and that they did not go through any sort of initiation to earn respect.
"In terms of our [England U21] players, a lot have grounding," said Onouha.
"So in terms of too much too young, I don't think that's the case for everyone. It's a misconception.
"The majority of us at City used to clean the coaching staff's cars and that was only four or five years ago when some people had thought that had all gone," he added.
