Man City star Tevez wants Italy move

Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez has told manager Roberto Mancini that he is keen to move to an Italian club.

The Argentine striker has been linked with an Eastlands departure for much of the season and there is still strong speculation that he will exit this summer.

According to Mancini, Tevez says that he wants to go to Italy but Mancini will do what he can to persuade him to stay in Manchester.

"Carlos told us back in December that he wants to go to Italy," Mancini said.

"But if he changes his mind, I would be happy."

Tevez is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury but Mancini has indicated that he will be used in some capacity for Saturday's FA Cup final against Stoke City at Wembley Stadium.
