Manchester City star David Silva admits his first years at Valencia away from his family were difficult.

From the age of 20, Silva was a regular in the Valencia team, netting 21 times, before joining Man City for £26million last June.

David has admitted: "It was very hard leaving home so small and losing your friends, your family and your home environment.

"I left everything for football and knew I had to go for it.

"Today I'm here and I believe that things have gone well."
