Manchester City star Robinho faces an appointment with local police this week.
The Mail on Sunday says Robinho, the Premier League's most expensive player, is due to report to police this week in connection with an alleged sex assault, just 48 hours before Manchester City face a crucial UEFA Cup tie against FC Copenhagen.
Robinho has to attend a police station on Tuesday under bail conditions imposed in January after the Brazilian's arrest as part of a 'criminal investigation' into the alleged attack in a Leeds nightclub.
The £32.5million star, who plays for City against Liverpool today, denies any wrongdoing but the ongoing case is an unwelcome distraction for City and under-fire boss Mark Hughes.
