Man City star Robinho: I'd love to play with Man Utd's Ronaldo

Manchester City midfielder Robinho is keen to dodge comparisons with Manchester United's World Player of the Year, Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I'm neither better nor worse than him. I have my own style," said Robinho.

"I think that Cristiano is an excellent player and he deserves to have won the Ballon D'Or and FIFA World Player. But I don't like making comparisons. I focus on playing football and the press are the ones who have to judge who is better.

"But I have my style and Cristiano has his."

City have been linked with a possible big-money swoop for Ronaldo since the takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group, who bankrolled the record signing of Robinho.

But while he admits he would love to have Ronaldo in his team, Robinho concedes it will be difficult to tempt him across town.

"I think it's quite difficult for him to come to City, because he has made history with United in these last five years. But if he signed for City he would be welcomed with open arms. It would be a pleasure to play alongside him," he said.
