Man City star De Bruyne: It satisfies me to have changed peoples minds

Kevin De Bruyne believes his time with Manchester City has changed the perception of him in England.

The Belgian playmaker was unable to prove himself at Chelsea after he arrived from Genk back in 2012 and was subsequently loaned to Werder Bremen before leaving Stamford Bridge permanently for Wolfsburg in 2014.

The jury, particularly in the UK, had been out on De Bruyne but he swiftly changed the public's opinion of his ability upon his return to the Premier League when joining Manchester City last summer.

He said in an interview with the Daily Mail: “Obviously it is very satisfying.

“I come here today with a very different view than people had of me last year. It shows that a lot can happen in one year.

“Everybody had a view of how I came out of Chelsea so, yeah, it gives me satisfaction that people have changed their minds."

Since joining City for a club-record £55 million, the 25-year-old has scored 18 goals and provided 20 assists in 53 matches for the Manchester club.
