Manchester City have won their battle with Manchester United regarding ticket allocation for their upcoming FA Cup clash.
The fierce rivals are set to do battle at Etihad Stadium on January 8 in the competition's third round with City having a small victory of sorts after their stance on the percentage of away tickets allocated for United was backed by the Football Association.
According to FA rules, United were to be given 15% of the Etihad capacity for their fans which would have come to 7,100 seats but City only offered just less than 6,000 to the Red Devils.
City have argued that their stadium layout makes it hard to hand out any more than 6,000 away tickets and the FA have agreed allowing them to offer their initial allocation to United.
