Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has laughed off the suggestions that the ball came off his shoulder for City's third goal in the 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion.
The Belgian international connected well from a David Silva's corner to loop the ball over West Brom goalkeeper Boaz Myhill in the 59th minute at The Hawthorns as City opened their season in impressive style.
Irrespective of the nature of the goal, Kompany seemed to enjoy it as he ran towards the away fans to celebrate.
When queried about the goal, Kompany replied: "It was a goal, right? Who cares? It doesn't matter!".
