Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is thrilled that Belgium are finally back in the World Cup.
Kompany admits he hated sitting out past tournaments after qualifying failures.
"I watched, but I hated every minute of it. The only thing that made me feel better was the realization that we never really deserved to be there," said Kompany.
"A lot of teams can only dream of kinship that this group has. The conflict of the past generation has been changed by a group that has gone through together all the youth levels."
He added: "Realistically, we are not a favorite, but in every competition I want to win. Until the contrary is proved, for now I do not believe that another team is better than mine."
