Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has acknowledged the rapid rise of Dundee United youngster Andrew Robertson.
The 19-year old left-back was handing out programmes to VIPs at Hampden a year ago, telling the Daily Record that he once posed for a photograph with Kompany when the defender attended Scottish football's headquarters to cast his eye over the national team with Belgium boss Marc Wilmots.
Robertson spoke of how he has come from playing with Queen's Park to being on the verge of a Scotland call-up and evidently, Kompany read the article as he posted the following on Twitter.
"@RabSafc1879_: @VincentKompany have a read http://t.co/SkwOHTZoz1" Andy Robertson, stories like yours are inspiring! Wish you all the best!
