Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany faces a month out with a groin injury.
Kompany could be out of action until after the international break after his injury curse struck again, says the Daily Mail.
City are still waiting to scan the Belgian's groin after he injured it during Monday night's 4-0 win over Newcastle in the Barclays Premier League.
Plans to scan the injury were put back 24 hours because of the amount of swelling. City's medics are still unsure whether he has suffered a tear or a less damaging strain.
