Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is in investment talks with Bleid-Molenbeek.
He wants to make the Third Division outfit an academy for deprived kids in his home city Brussels.
Kompany, 26, hopes to develop Bleid into a feeder club for national champions Anderlecht.
Bleid coach Michel De Wolf said: "We've been in talks with Vincent since last August.
"We both want to help the young people of Brussels.
"The best thing for the city's youth is for there to be a second big club that can become a partner to Anderlecht.
"Bleid is the ideal satellite club and it can be a boost for football in Brussels. If Vincent's project comes about a lot will change in the city."
