Yaya Toure insists he rejected Manchester United before signing for Manchester City.
The £24million midfield ace claims he had the chance to move from Barcelona last summer, soon after helping down Alex Ferguson's men in the Champions League final.
He said: "Last year Manchester United were interested in signing me.
"When I was talking about renewing my contract, United asked if I wanted to sign.
"Manchester United is a big club, one of the biggest in the world. But City was an interesting challenge for me."
