Manchester City signing Stevan Jovetic has defended his departure from Fiorentina.
Jovetic believes he did all he could to leave the Florence club on good terms.
"After five years I could not stand the thought that someone might doubt me. For five full years I gave my all, last summer was intense, but I never, and I repeat never spoke ill of Fiorentina.
"I'm thinking about them even now, with the new team waiting for me.
"Am I happy? Delighted. It's a top team with huge ambitions. Here they'll fight to win the Premier League and especially the Champions League, a huge milestone, which, more than anything else, convinced me to choose to come.
"I want to win, so I'll also need a lot of luck: the No35 shirt is the one I had at Partizan. I was pleased to take it."
