Manchester City are poised to make a final offer for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling.
Following the Reds' capture of Brazilian ace Roberto Firmino on Wednesday, City feel they may be able to turn the Merseyside club's head with a third bid for Sterling.
According to the Daily Mail, City are set to come forward with an offer of £40million – which could reach £50m with add-ons and bonuses – after seeing £25m and £35m proposals turned down.
However, it is believed that Liverpool are in no hurry to sell Sterling despite spending an outright £22m on Firmino who will join from Hoffenheim when he finished his duties with Brazil at the Copa America.
20-year old England international Sterling has refused to sign a new deal at Anfield, turning down a £100,000-a-week contract.
