Manchester City are sending medics out to South Africa to check over Yaya Toure, 27.
City want the Barcelona midfielder to have a medical - either in South Africa if Ivory Coast make the World Cup's last 16 or back in Manchester.
Yaya is the kid brother of Eastlands defender Kolo, 29.
A fee in the region of £28 million has been settled with Barca for the Ivorian.
