Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson was happy to release Kelvin Etuhu and Kasper Schmeichel to travel with chairman Thaksin Shinawatra to Thailand this week.
Eriksson said: "It will be good experience for them in Thailand. They are training there and helping in youth football. Neither of them is involved in the first team, and that is why these two players were chosen."
The Daily Mail says both players will be sent away on-loan upon their return.
