Man City seek Sterling contract talks amid fresh Arsenal interest

Manchester City are drawing up a new contract offer for Raheem Sterling.

The Daily Star says the England winger, 22 has almost three years remaining on his current £200k-a-week deal.

But City want to underline he is very much part of manager Pep Guardiola's future plans.

They have already assured Sterling, who scored twice in City's 5-0 win over Crystal Palace yesterday, that it was Arsenal who made the approach when there was talk of an exchange which would have seen Alexis Sanchez move to The Etihad.

Guardiola insisted then that he did not want to lose the £49m signing from Liverpool.
