Manchester City are competing for AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
L'Equipe says City are interested in bringing Pjanic to the Etihad as a replacement for the out-of-favour Samir Nasri.
Pjanic has previously been linked with Tottenham and Chelsea, but with Roma having splashed out £9.5million on the youngster and handed him a five-year deal the summer before last, City would be expected to stump up at least £25million to convince the Giallorossi to sell one of their most prized assets.
