Man City see Pogba as Toure replacement

Manchester City are chasing Juventus midfield ace Paul Pogba. The Daily Star says City will swoop for Juventus midfielder Pogba if Yaya Toure quits the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Toure has grown frustrated by City's apparent refusal to treat him like other star names Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany.

It has been suggested that he will quit the club this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain linked with a big-money swoop.

If the Ivory Coast star does decide to leave, reports suggest City will look to replace him with ex-Manchester United academy star Pogba.

Pogba would fit the bill as a powerful box-to-box midfielder, but will come with a pricetag of more than £50m, a figure City may find too high as they bid to comply with FFP regulations.
