Manchester City have identified Fiorentina star Stevan Jovetic as a likely replacement for Carlos Tevez.
City are determined to sell Tevez at the end of the season and are already actively searching for a replacement.
City scout Attilio Lombardo was in Italy last week to see Genoa play Fiorentina and run the rule over Jovetic. The attacker is also admired by Liverpool chief Damien Comolli and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Though he penned a new deal to 2016 earlier this season, Fiorentina's woes have forced Jovetic into a rethink over his future.
"Will I stay in Florence? Let's see, it doesn't depend only on me ...," he said recently.
