Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure insists the Premiership defence is not yet finished.
The reigning champions beat Aston Villa 1-0 tonight to remain 12 points behind league leaders Manchester United and even though they lost Jack Rodwell to a hamstring injury, Toure was confident of City's chances.
"Today we showed we have a fantastic squad, we are sad with Jack but this is an important day for us," said Toure.
"Twelve points is a lot but it's not finished."
