Man City's Weiss: Rangers boss McCoist did not try to sign me

Manchester City wantaway Vladimir Weiss has revealed that Rangers boss Ally McCoist did not try to get him back to the club this summer.

The 21-year old Slovakian winger spent some time on loan with 'Gers last season and impressed prior to breaking a bone in his foot which forced him to return to Eastlands.

He was told the Scottish champions would again come in for his services for this campaign but he heard nothing and has now laid blame on McCoist for not acting on his promise.

"If anyone is to blame for me not returning to Rangers, it's Ally," he told the Scottish Sun.

"I wanted to sign, everyone knows that. When I was leaving the club in the summer he told me to my face he wanted to buy me.

"But he didn't try, not really. He just didn't do anything to get me to Rangers and for me that's so disappointing."

Weiss has recently been heavily linked with Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kiev but revealed yesterday that Wigan Athletic and some clubs in Spain are also interested.
