Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell is closing in on a move to Sunderland according to reports.
The 23-year old has had a tough time of it at the Etihad Stadium since his £12million move from Everton in 2012 and is now set to join the Black Cats once he passes a medical.
The Manchester Evening News suggests that Sunderland are prepared to pay City's £10m asking price for the three-time England international who has struggled with injury in recent seasons.
Rodwell, who was an Everton regular prior to his shift to Eastlands, has made just 25 appearances for City since arriving in August two years ago.
