Man City's Pellegrini hoping for Wembley berth in debut season

Manuel Pellegrini is eager to guide Manchester City to a Wembley final in his first season at the club.

The Chilean saw his City side move through to the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup by virtue of a 3-1 win over Leicester City on Tuesday night and is now targeting the March final at London's iconic Wembley Stadium if they can navigate their way past the final four.

"First we have to win the semi-final. But I repeat that any final at Wembley is a big game and it is important to be used to trying to win all the games you are playing," he told Sky Sports.

"It is important to continue in the Champions League, in the Capital One. In the Premier we are just three points behind Arsenal, so that's good for us."
